Breaking News: ASWSUV Judicial Board rules on case, Special Elections coming (updated with Elections Board response)

The Elections Board has announced a special election in response to the Judicial Board’s decision to nullify the results of the general election. 29% of VanCougar poll respondents indicated that they would not vote again. Scheduled to be held March 26 – 28, the special elections will be held for the presidential tickets only and prohibit campaigning of any form.

“A special election for the ASWSUV presidential tickets will be held March 26 – 28, 2013, next Tuesday – Thursday. The process will be similar to the general elections. Polling booths will be located outside of VLIB and in the VDEN alcove from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. all 3 days. Online voting will be active from 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, until 5 p.m. Thursday, March 28. Only presidential tickets will be required to run in the special election. No campaigning of any form is allowed.”
