V-Day organizers take a stand against violence toward women

V-Day, a global movement to end violence against women and girls by utilizing creativity to raise awareness, will return to Washington State University Vancouver when student and staff volunteers stage a demonstration this Wednesday.

Various events throughout the day have been planned. They will  take place in the quad and in the Dengerink Administration Building.

There will be a flash mob and monologues that students can take part in. Practices began last Tuesday, and will continue through tomorrow in the Fitness Center. No previous dance experience is required; the event is open to anyone interested in participating.

Those interested in the V-Day campaign to stop violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation and sex slavery, can visit their website at www.vday.org/about.html
